Passion, performance and perfection combine in the Focus philosophy of German Engineered. German excellence in the engineering sphere is an international guarantee of quality. The pinnacle of design and technology is reached through constant development in top-flight competition. German Engineered allows this to be accessed by all riders who demand the best.
Competition riders in pursuit of perfection will find it in the Izalco Max. Designed for maximum rigidity with minimal weight, the Izalco Max delivers the very pinnacle of FOCUS German Engineering.A bike that tops the FOCUS range demands our best technologies. The finest equipment, a 750g carbon frame and a 295g fork make the Izalco Max your winning combination.
With the new 750g Izalco Max carbon frame, our focus is shifting into the elite lightweight division. Considerable stiffness values make driving an experience – also thanks to the Head Tube Stiffness Boost Box and the guiding qualities of the 295g carbon fork made in a single piece (monocoque construction style). All the stops have been pulled down to the last detail – including dropouts and the front derailleur completely made of carbon.
During manufacturing both the Izalco MAX and the Team SL models use “Silicon forming” for inside the tubes instead of the common “bag technique”. The Silicon helps compact the carbon in the mould, reducing the possibility of air bubbles in the moulding process, thus creating a stronger frame – whilst also creating a smoother internal form and finish.
The Focus Izalco Max 0.0 is the lightest production road bike Focus have ever had the pleasure to offer. The Focus Izalco Max 0.0 created massive interest at Eurobike in August 2013, as no one could quite believe the claimed weight of 5.3kg. The Focus Izalco Max 0.0 is a production bike you can call, bang for your pound! No other manufacture offers such low weight for such little money. A glance at the spec should reassure you that whilst every component is chosen for it's industry-leading light weight, every part of the bike is of the highest quality, and built to last.
