The Aviva Investors Around the Bay in a Day? 2008 starts and finishes in Alexandra Gardens (except the 100km ride, which starts in Sorrento), with the introduction of the 80km School Challenge, designed for secondary school groups. Come and be part of, Australia's biggest and best mass participation one day ride. On Sunday more than 15,500 riders take on the challenge of riding in the Aviva Investors Around the Bay in a Day.
At the conclusion of the ride, there are a number of free activities at the Alexandra Gardens Start/Finish Site including live music and entertainment, roving entertainers, corporate hospitality, food and beverage facilities, and sponsor displays and giveaways.
The Aviva Investors Around the Bay in a Day? 2008 and Jayco Herald Sun Tour will again be the cornerstones of the Melbourne Cycling Festival, with Victoria's two iconic cycling events coming together to create a major weekend of cycling-centric activity in Melbourne, along with the GO Bike Expo from 17 - 19 October 2008 inclusive. The GO Bike Expo will be a free activity showcasing all aspects of the cycling world.
Aviva Investors name the challenge!
Aviva Investors is the new naming rights sponsor for the Around the Bay in a Day? 2008 - Get Sponsored for The Smith Family, announced at the official launch on Wednesday 10 September, at Subaru Interactive, Docklands.
Craig Bingham, CEO of Aviva Investors said that the company is "proud to be involved in Australia?s most popular single day cycling event while raising funds for The Smith Family's Learning for Life program, helping disadvantaged children."
