Comfort Zone While the first Foil has been praised for its direct power transfer, responsive handling, low weight and aerodynamic excellence, some riders yearned for more comfort. So we increased vertical compliance, making comfort a key point in the requirements specification of the new Foil. The new Foil features a low seatstay attachment which in combination with a modified and noticeably thin seatstay shape leads to a smooth riding experience even on rough roads. The focused approach to improve comfort on the new Foil resulted in an increase in vertical compliance by 86% of the seattube area compared to its predecessor. Additionally, the fork compliance has been increased by 11% compared to the first edition of the Foil. Evo-Lap technology With the proper selection of materials, eighty percent of the work to create a frame is done. But the remaining twenty percent requires most of our efforts. For this reason, our choice of the most advanced carbon fibers in the market is followed by intensive use of specific tools, like FEA (finite element analysis) software, to map out the carbon lay-up. With FEA software, we can simulate different forces on a virtual model of the frame and adjust the frame construction accordingly. FEA software enables us to create complete virtual prototypes incorporating all the physical phenomena that exist in real-world environments. With our Evo-Lap technology we model the frame to optimize the surface area, simulate tube structures with different ply orientations, observe the results of using different configurations, and test the stress distribution in different areas of the frame. Thanks to this extensive computer modeling, we’ve optimized the carbon layers in all the parts of our frame. When the parts were bonded together in the first prototypes, the result was a super light and compact frame without sacrificing the stiffness, comfort or impact resistance. The entire range benefitted from our Evo-Lap technology. COMBO Creston iC Clean and uncluttered, our new Syncros combo cockpit allows us to route all the cables completely internally through the bar, headset and into the frame as part of SCOTT’s new ICC routing. Working with internationally renowned partner GebioMized, we’ve created the ultimate ergonomic shape for riders. Integrated Cable Routing The Addict RC and Foil come with completely integrated cable routing for both mechanical and electronical shifting. This was achieved by our engineers without any compromise on shifting and braking quality or on the stiffness of the head tube. Furthermore, it is surprisingly easy for mechanics to change cables and maintain the bike.

We offer an on-going free bike fitting service within the first year to accommodate possible changes in your fitness, flexibility and performance. We can also assess current riding techniques such as pedalling efficiency, correct posture etc. and offer any advice on an individual basis in order to advance your cycling comfort and performance. This includes free head stem swap overs at any time within the first year. Our opinion is that the perfect bike fit is something that grows with your riding and can be fluid as you progress or adapt to your riding level. Every bike fit is individual to a riders certain requirements and correctly fitted, can turn a good bike riding experience into a great one. We also offer a free follow up service and highly recommend this is done within the first 6 months or the 500-1000km mark. This is the most important service a bike can get, with it getting the full treatment to ensure everything has bedded in well, ensuring your ride is maintained and performing at it's optimum level. Our service goes over and above the normal adjustments required with any issue arising being rectified free of charge unless due to normal wear and tear.
