What are the conditions of a PMC layby?
We are pleased to offer you a Layby service for purchases of $100 or more made in our store. We require a 20% deposit and a $2.00 non-refundable service fee for a 6 week term. Fortnightly payments are required or the Layby may be cancelled. . Please contact us for more details.
Can I organise a Layby over the phone?
Yes, If you would like to set up a layby over the phone please contact us.
Does PMC offer a hire bike service?
Yes, PMC offer a select range of comfort and cruiser bikes for hire. All our hire bikes are fully serviced and checked over by our mechanics after each ride. A security deposit is required at time of hiring.
What is included with the hire bike?
A helmet is included with all hire bikes.
What are the hire rates?

Do you offer interest free?
Yes, PMC offers a range of options for finance with GEM Visa. You can now come in store, choose your dream bike, plus all the gear you need with it, ready to ride.

Can you build bikes from the frame up with my choice of parts?
At Port Melbourne Cycles we offer a custom bike building service to our customers. Choose the frame and spec it out exactly how you would like -componentry, wheel set, right down to your choice of handlebar tape and bidon cage! As well as offering this service, we have a few custom built bikes in stock and ready to ride. These bikes have been built from the frame up by our mechanics and give you an idea of what you can do. Please contact us for any more information about our custom built service and bikes.
Can I bring my bike in for a service and/or repair at PMC?
At Port Melbourne Cycles, we repair and service all types of bicycles and bicycle components. You can rest assured that our qualified mechanics will be able to diagnose and fix any of your bike troubles, so feel free to give us a call to arrange for an appointment to have your bike in for maintenance.
How do I manage the emails I receive?
If you are registered with us you will be able to manage the marketing emails you receive from us by clicking on ‘My account’ on the top of every page and selecting ‘My details’. If you are not registered with us but have previously subscribed to marketing emails and wish to unsubscribe, please click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of a recent marketing email received from PMC.
How do I unsubscribe to emails?
To unsubscribe, simply click on the unsubscribe link on the bottom of one of the last newsletters received.
How do I login to or register for an account on pmcycles.com.au?
Click on the Member Login link at the top left of any page to either login or register your details to set up a PMC Member account.
Do I have to create an account in order to buy online?
Yes, to order from PMC you need to register. By creating an account with PMC you will be able to:
• Shop faster
• Keep track of the status of your orders
• Manage your profile
• Receive email exclusives and offer previews
How do I logout completely?
If you have been inactive on the site for a period of time, we will automatically log you out. You can also logout using the link on the top of any page.
Why aren’t all items available in PMC store available to buy online?
At this stage only selected parts of our range are available to buy online. Keep an eye out as we extend our range online.
How can I tell if items are available online or in-store?
If an item is available to be purchased online it will have a ‘Buy Now’ button. If the product is ranged in our stores it will have an ‘Enquire’ button.
How do I search for products online?
There is a Search Facility on the top left hand side of th Home Page. Additionally, a generic search text box and button are located in the top section of each page. Enter a keyword in the text box and click the search button to start searching.
What should I do if I can’t find an item on the website?
If you have seen the product in our store, or advertised through catalogues, TV, magazines or newspapers, it may be that we don’t currently sell this product online. You can contact the store if you require any assistance.
How do I check stock availability for items in my nearest store?
If the product is ranged in our store, but not available for purchase online it will have an ‘Enquire’ button. We recommend you contact the store to ensure they have it in stock.
Can I order an item that is shown as out of stock?
Yes, and we will indicate during the purchase process when the item is expected to be back in stock.
How do I place my first order online?
Browse the site for items you are looking for and add items to your shopping cart. When you are ready, select the View Cart link and follow the instructions to complete your order. If you are not registered as a PMC Member, you will need to register before you can complete an order on pmcycles.com.au. Registration is available during the checkout process . There are four stages of the checkout process:
1. Your details: This section will confirm your name, email address and telephone number.
2. Delivery details: This section will allow you to choose the delivery address you would like your order delivered to.
3. Payment: This section will prompt you to enter your payment method and details.
4. Order confirmation: This will display your order number and order summary. A confirmation email will also be sent to the email address you supplied during checkout.
How do I view my current or previous online orders?
You can view your order history on the ‘Transaction Log’ page of the ‘My profile’ page. Access the ‘My Profile’ page by signing in through the ‘Member Login’ link displayed at the top left of the website on any page.
I ordered multiple items in my order but haven’t received them all, when will they arrive?
If your order contains a number of items with varying dispatch times, will will send the order based on the dispatch time that is the highest number of days. For example, if you have an item with a dispatch time of 2 days, and another with a dispatch time of 7 days, the order will then be dispatched within 7 days.
For items that have a dispatch time of longer than 14 days, for example an item which has a dispatch date of ‘mid-December’, this will be placed on a backorder for you and delivered separately to the other items. You will also receive a shipping confirmation email once the item is dispatched.
You can check the status of all of your deliveries by using the supplied tracking numbers given to you on your shipping confirmation email.

What should I do if my items arrive damaged?
Please check any product delivered to you to determine if it is damaged. If you suspect the product is damaged on delivery, you should refuse receipt of that product and notify us. If you notice damage to a product after delivery, please advise the store to obtain a Return Authority Number.

How do I track my order?
Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email, which contains a tracking number. Unless otherwise specified, all orders are dispatched through Australia Post. You can track your order by going to www.auspost.com.au/track and inputting your tracking number in the provided box.
How do I obtain a tax invoice for my online order?
A printed tax invoice with be included with your order delivery. You will also receive an invoice of your order when your payment has been approved. This is your proof of purchase.
How will I know when my order is successfully completed?
You will be shown an order confirmation page which will display your order number and order summary. A confirmation email will also be sent to the email address you supplied during checkout. If you haven’t received an email confirmation and are unsure as to whether your order was completed successfully, please contact us.
Can I send my order to a different address to my billing address?
Yes, you are able to send your item to a different delivery address within Australia to your billing address.
Can I have my order despatched to an International address?
At this stage we only deliver to addresses in Australia.
Can I add or delete items from my order once I have completed the order?
Unfortunately, you cannot amend an order after it is placed. If we are able to stop the order from being despatched we will cancel your existing order and place a new order on your behalf. Please contact us for assistance.
What happens to my previous orders if I change my registration email address?
Any order history will be transferred across to the new email address allowing you to keep track of all your past orders or addresses.
How can I get my password reset if I have forgotten my password?
From the member login screen click on the ‘Forgot your password’ link. You will be asked to enter the email address you used to create your account, once entered, please click ‘send password’. This will trigger an email to be sent to you from us with your password. You can then change your password at any time from the ‘My Profile’ page once logged in as a member.

Your personal details will only be stored if you have registered an account with us. To change your personal details, login using the Member Login link, then click on ‘My Profile’ at the top of any page to change your personal details.

You can change your email address by clicking on ‘My profile’ on the top of any page once logged in as a member.
How do I change my password?
You can change your password by clicking on ‘My profile’ on the top of any page and going to the ‘Change password’ section
How do I unsubscribe to emails?

Are my personal details secure with PMC?
Yes, your details are safe with us at PMC. Please read our Privacy policy for more information.
Secure online shopping
Our secure web pages can be identified by their URL, that is, they will begins with ‘https://’, while standard pages begin with ‘http://’. A padlock or key will also be visible in the bottom right of your web browser.
We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) and payment gateway for all orders placed to ensure the security of your personal card details.
Suspicious emails (phishing)
As a registered customer we may send you emails from time to time for promotions and offers but we would never send an email asking for personal details or log on details. If you receive an email that appears to be from us that you suspect isn’t genuine, do not click on any links contained within the email or provide any credit card or log on details. Please notify us.
What are the shipping costs if i purchase more than one trainer?
Shipping costs for trainers are charged per unit.
How can i track my order?

If you do need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible. We will attempt to stop the order before despatch however this may not be possible.

What is the exchange policy for items purchased online that do not fit?
We offer the option to exchange items purchased online if they don’t fit. However the following need to be noted for any return:
– Please contact admin@pmcycles.com.au for approval prior to returning any items.
– The item can only be returned or exchanged if it is in the original condition and packaging.
– The return postage charges as well as the postage cost to send out the replacement item will need to be covered by you.
– Any refunds can only be issued via the online shop.
– Please allow 2 – 4 days for the processing of your return/refund/exchange request.
Can i return my item for a refund if I have changed my mind, or the item is the wrong size?
Please choose carefully as there is no obligation to issue a refund if you have simply changed your mind. However, in most instances, we can arrange a refund where the return postage cost is covered by you. Refundable amount is less any shipping and purchase fees. A restocking fee of 7% of the item value may apply. Any request for a refund, repair, exchange or credit must be accompanied with the original sales receipt. The item being returned for a refund under a change-of-mind instance must be unused, in original packaging and in a saleable condition.
